What’s TPO Waterproofing?

Short for thermoplastic polyolefin, TPO is a single-ply roofing membrane that offers excellent performance and has been the most popular roofing membrane for many years. Heat-Weldable Seams

TPO seams are heat-welded to create a solid, watertight bond that is significantly stronger and more reliable than traditional glued or taped seams, vastly reducing leak risks.

Exceptional Durability

The membrane is engineered to resist tears, punctures, and extensive weathering. It is composed of polypropylene and ethylene propylene rubber, creating a flexible yet durable membrane that withstands long-term exposure.

Energy Efficiency

The naturally reflective white surface helps reduce cooling costs by reflecting UV rays , with a high Solar Reflectance Index (SRI 90+) that contributes significantly to reducing building cooling costs.

THE MEMBRANES

GAF EverGuard® TPO: The industry standard with a 20-plus year track record for performance. It offers an ideal balance of flexibility, durability, UV reflectivity, and heat-sealable properties.

GAF EverGuard Extreme® TPO: Includes an enhanced weathering package, making it great for high-heat and solar applications. This technology allows GAF to offer a guarantee of up to 35 years, the longest in the industry.

GAF EverGuard Extreme® TPO Fleece-Back Membrane: Specifically designed for “recover” or retrofit applications, providing strong protection against punctures and hail.

ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS

Detailing Membrane: A 55 mil unreinforced membrane used as a flashing and reinforcement material for complex penetrations and corners where preformed accessories cannot be used.

Universal Corners: Preformed corners that can be cut to accommodate and reinforce both inside and outside corners, ensuring a watertight seal at critical transition points.

Vent & Pipe Boots: Time-saving, pre-fabricated boots that create a perfect seal around common pipes and conduits, supplied with stainless steel clamping rings.

Pourable Sealer Pockets: Used to create a perfect seal around irregular roof penetrations.
